Hive Music and Media Centre:
The Hive is a registered charity and independent arts organisation, which is busier than ever as our growing reputation as a vibrant venue for arts and culture in Shropshire has increased. The Centre boasts a diverse portfolio of events - as varied as live music, theatre, film, dance, crafts, languages and much more. We continually try our best to offer something for everyone.
In addition to our centre-based activity, the Hive's outreach work with children and young people across Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin is incredibly important to us. Our main focus is to provide opportunities for young people to have fun, develop new life skills and explore their potential. Our particular emphasis is with young people who have least access to the arts - we work with many groups, from those who are not in mainstream education, employment or training, through to young carers, looked after children and young people in the criminal justice system. The Hive also extends our reach to those in rural communities and young people who are educated at home.
As an established organisation, the Hive is passionate and committed to ensuring that our outreach work with young people and our thriving centre continues, despite the current economic climate.
