Arts Award
At the Hive, most of our activities are suitable for incorporation into your Arts Award portfolio.
You can

- Take part in activities aimed at young people
- Learn new skills, and to use new equipment
- Volunteer to help us run activities and to help others
- Ask us for help, advice and guidance on completing your Arts Award portfolio
Our target audience are young people aged 11-19 (as that is the age we work with relevant to Arts Award) in Shropshire interested in music and new media.
We currently have Arts Award advisors trained up to Silver level, and will shortly have Gold level trained advisors ready to help.
We hold regular monthly drop-in sessions on the last Thursday afternoon in the month between 4pm and 6pm when you can meet an Arts Award advisor, and get help and advice. We would prefer it if you call in advance, but it is not necessary.
At present we are a closed centre offering support at bronze/silver level for people who are taking part in our programmes in music and media, but that in the future we hope to extend that to gold level, and to eventually become an open centre.
