Celebration for all at the Hive:

The Hive Music and Media Centre in Shrewsbury will be hosting a free afternoon of varied activities in March as part of celebrations for International Women’s Day 2012.
This unique celebration event will be taking place on Friday 9th March between 12pm and 4pm, providing the opportunity for people of all ages to participate in a selection of diverse workshops. Activities available on the day will include storytelling, hand percussion, textile design and crafts – plus there will also be live acoustic music. All of the workshops will be led by highly experienced and talented female artists from across the county and the event will feature one of the Hive’s popular Music-time sessions for toddlers.
Habib Malik-Mansell, Marketing Assistant at the Hive said “Organised by local artists and musicians in association with the Hive, the day aims to celebrate the creative talents of women who are living and working in Shropshire, whilst offering a fun filled afternoon of activities for the whole community. The workshops are open to everyone and we encourage families to come along and discover new artforms.”
The event is free to attend and people are invited to drop by the Hive at any point to participate and support the day!
