Venue Hire at the Hive Music and Media Centre - flexible, comfortable and affordable:
The Hive Music and Media Centre has a broad range of professional facilities, including two versatile, air-conditioned spaces which are available for public hire for certain activities. Detailed below you will find further information regarding the flexible facilities on offer. Should you wish to enquire about hiring any of the Hive's facilities, please call 01743 234970 and ask to speak to Venue Manager Ellen Green. Alternatively, you are welcome to visit the centre to discuss your individual requirements and view the Hive's facilities in person.
Performance Space:
Our performance space is a 'black box' sound-proofed space with a sprung dance floor, suitable for meetings, presentations, exhibitions, band rehearsals, live music gigs and theatre performances.
The space can accommodate up to 105 people on our raked seating unit or approx 85 people in conference style layout. Charges start from just £27.00 per hour!
A range of extra options are available at additional cost, including raked seating, AV equipment and PA system - and the Hive can even arrange catering!
Meeting Room:
Our Meeting room is a comfortable space suitable for groups of up to 10 people, either seminar style or around tables.
Charges start from just £17.00 per hour!
A range of extra options are available at additional cost, including AV equipment and the Hive can even arrange catering if required!
Plus the Hive's meeting room can be hired in conjunction with the main performance space, creating a functional breakout space or useful extra room.
Gallery Space:
The Hive Gallery space is not strictly available for public hire, but is included here to show the variety of professional facilities that are available at the venue.
The Gallery space can be used as an informal meeting area alongside our dedicated Meeting Room and additionally, the Hive Gallery space can also be used in conjunction with the main performance space for larger scale events.
Exhibiting:
If you are a local artist who is interested in prospectively exhibiting your work in the Hive Gallery space, please email:marketing@hiveonline.org.ukPlease provide an overview of your work, with at least three images if possible.
Creative Studios:
Both the Hive's sound and video studios are available for hire for suitable activities, usually with the inclusive services of one or more artists.
